TeamWarfare League, or TWL, was the most popular ladder organizer for Tribes 2 throughout the entirety of its competition lifetime. It was founded solely for Tribes, and eventually grew to support many other games. In honor of its roots, TWL continues to allow Tribes ladders to exist on their website even though they do not meet the requirements for the ladders of all the other games.

A few other groups formed in attempt to dethrone TWL's reign over Tribes 2, but for the most part they were all made up of whiny newbies. As a result, only terrible players played on any other ladder, and TWL retained 100% of the talent among Tribes 2 teams. The primary reason for the splitting of these other groups was "TWL is too mean". Think about for a second, and you'll understand why it's pathetic.
