Tribes: Vengeance was the sequel to Tribes 2. It was produced by Sierra and developed by Irrational Games. Many Tribes players were excited by this new game before they played it, but pretty much all of them were disappointed. Most people could see that it was a failure even while it was still in beta. It was released in October 2004. Those who stuck with it were soon abandoned by Sierra and Irrational Games, as they dropped all plans for the continued development of the game in 2005. Overall, the game was a huge disappointment and a disgrace to the Tribes series. The only people who still played it are people who were either not around during the first two games, or too terrible at them to have had much fun in competition.

After Tribes: Vengeance, Sierra buried the Tribes name. The failure of this sequel will probably deter them from ever making another sequel to it for the rest of time, despite that fact that it was entirely their own fault.
